BISP Kafalat Program

BISP Education Scholarships
The Benazir Income Support Program also provides scholarships to students to help with educational expenses. After the provision of scholarships, millions of children in Pakistan have been given the basic right to education. This program awards scholarships to students quarterly. The scholarship amount under BISP is more for girls than for boys. The Government of Pakistan has launched the Benazir Development Program to address malnutrition among pregnant women and infants. Under this program, scholarships are provided to pregnant women and children under two years of age every quarter.
Pregnant women are provided Rs 2500 quarterly from the beginning of pregnancy till the birth of the child. After delivery, 3000 rupees is provided for the birth of a girl and 2500 rupees for the birth of a boy. The distribution of stipend continues until the child reaches 2 years of age.
The first two years of a child’s birth play an excellent role in its development. This is the reason why this program removes malnutrition in children till the age of 2 years. So that they can lay the foundation of a healthy life with the best food.
