New chemotherapy and new surgery will be introduced at the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital and Cardiology Institute in Sargodha.     More than 2,800 hospitals across Punjab have been revamped. Unparalleled service of field hospitals is ongoing in remote rural areas across Punjab. 9.5 million patients have benefited from these field hospitals, 60,000 X-rays, and 135,000 lab tests have been conducted, while ultrasound, first aid, and mother and child health facilities are also available in the field hospitals.     On the other hand, 6.7 million patients have benefited from Clinic on Well in densely populated areas of various cities in Punjab. On the other hand, a special package proposal has been agreed upon to meet the shortage of specialist doctors in district hospitals. It has been decided to build cath labs and cardiology centers in district hospitals of Punjab in a phased manner. Free treatment and operations have been started for children with heart diseases under the Chief Minister’s Heart Surgery Program.

    Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital
