Punjab Higher Education Internship Programme
Good news: On the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the largest higher education internship programme in the history of Punjab has launched. Under this program, 7,354 college teachers have been selected for teaching services in government colleges. These teachers will serve for 8 months with a monthly stipend of 50000. Which is an important step towards providing employment opportunities for the youth as well as improving the quality of education.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the higher education team for the recruitment of teachers based on transparency and merit and hoped for positive results from this program. This initiative will not only improve the teaching process in the colleges but will also give the students an opportunity to get quality education.
According to the announcement, intern teachers will given the opportunity to provide teaching services in government colleges during the academic session till March 31. Additionally, the transfer of 962 teachers under the e-transfer policy has also been completed, ensuring transparency and convenience in the system.

7,354 Teachers Recruited with Monthly Stipend
According to the Higher Education Secretary, Dr. Farrukh Naveed, 7,354 teachers have been recruited as college teacher interns. College teacher interns will receive a monthly stipend of 50000 rupees for eight months. Offering them both financial support and professional development.

Interns to Serve Until March 31 Academic Session
As per the program guidelines, these teacher interns will perform teaching duties in government colleges until the conclusion of the current academic session on March 31. This temporary recruitment is expected to address faculty shortages and improve the educational experience for students.
E-Transfer Policy Completes Teacher Transfers
In addition to this program, the Punjab government has completed the transfer and posting process for 962 college teachers through the e-transfer policy. This policy ensures a smooth and fair process for teachers seeking transfers, further contributing to the efficiency of the education sector.
