Maryam Ki Dastak Programme
On the Special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the scope of the Maryam Ki Dastak programme has now been extended to 32 districts of Punjab, with 10 new districts added. The initiative aims to bring government services to the doorsteps of common citizens and further improve the public service delivery system.
This was announced in an important meeting at Arfa Tower presided over by Punjab IT Board Chairman Faisal Yusuf. The chairman said that the new districts included Rahim Yar Khan, Wahari, Lodhran, Toba Tek Singh, Leh, Rajanpur, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Gujrat, and Khushab.
Services Included in Maryam Ki Dastak program and their Accessibility
Under Maryam’s Dastak program, citizens can avail of more than 60 government services at home through the Dastak mobile app and web portal. These services include:
- Domicile
- Birth certificate
- Copy of FIR
- Marriage Certificate
- Learner Driving License
Earlier these services were available only in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, and other 22 cities, but now citizens of 10 more districts will also be able to benefit from these services.
