    Good News: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has announced the launch of New Food Security Initiative in Pakistan. Under which 14,000 tons of food packages will be distributed to deserving people in all provinces of the country, including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, from December 2024 to November 2025. This aid program will prove to be a ray of hope for remote and backward areas, where one food package will meet the basic needs of a family for one month.

    The project was formally launched through the distribution of food packages during a ceremony held in Islamabad. Speaking at the ceremony, Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and said that Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan, and this initiative reflects the strong relations between the two countries. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki also spoke on the occasion and emphasized the Pak-Saudi brotherhood and historical relations.

    According to the King Salman Relief Center, New Food Security Initiative will be completed with transparency and in cooperation with the local government, so that the food packages can reach the real beneficiaries. Each food package contains 95 kilograms, which includes 80 kilograms of flour, 5 kilograms of rice, and 5 kilograms of sugar. This project will not only help in eliminating malnutrition but will also further strengthen the long-standing friendly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
