Eligibility Criteria for Farmers
Farmers who wish to benefit from the solarization of electric and diesel tube wells must meet specific eligibility criteria. Farmers must meet the following conditions to qualify for the solarization of electric and diesel tube wells under the scheme:
- The applicant must be a resident of Punjab.
- The applicant must be at least 18 years old and possess a computerized ID card.
- Only one farmer from a family can apply for a solar system.
- The applicant must own agricultural land within the same district where they are submitting their application.
- Proof of individual ownership of the agricultural land is required.
- For electric tube wells, the applicant must be the owner of the electric tube well. To verify this, the last paid electricity bill for the tubewell connection must be submitted.
- Farmers who have defaulted on loans from any bank or financial institution are not eligible for this program.
- If the applicant owns an electric tube well, it must have a three-phase electricity connection.
- The electricity connection for the tube well must have been installed on or before October 30, 2024.

Application Process
Farmers can now submit their applications for subsidized solar power. To make the process convenient:
- For Computerized Villages: Applications can be submitted via a dedicated app.
- For Manual Villages: Application forms are available at the Assistant Director Agriculture Water Management Office in Shorkot.

Then, enter the captcha code displayed on the screen and press the Apply for Solar Tube Wells button. Once you complete these steps, your registration will be successfully submitted.
